Joe Scarborough is a Torture Apologist w/Gratuitous Nudity

Rate: 25

In the comments of my last post, We only waterboard Muslims w/Gratuitous Nudity, it was suggested that Jesse Ventura's status as a SEAL and Vietnam Vet would keep the chicken hawks at bay on the torture issue. I responded that at that very moment I was watching Morning Joe on MSNBC and the Scarborough was going off on Ventura, calling him stupid. Scarborough insisted that when the information on waterboarding and torture is declassified it will show that torture works.

Here is that clip. It will blow you away how obtuse Joe Scarborough and Rudy Guiliani are. Watch to the end and you will get to see Scarborough insist vehemently that waterboarding works:

This guy is on TV every day...

(I'll update later with some gratuitous nudity. Too busy right now catching up on Digg)

Oddly enough I had Scarborough's show on this morning as I was reading your first post of today. Fortunately, I had the volume turned down. Honestly, I'm stunned. Thanks for posting this. Rated as usual.
I think watching him is torture...
I cannot watch him or his airhead co-host. Just impossible. I know that he is one of the biggest apologists for torture on the air and he never stops talking. I mentioned him in the piece I did on torture.
Scarboro is really legitimate, like he was legitimately a bad Congressman and now he is legitimately a bad talk show host.
BBE, it's remarkable. I love the way she keeps saying "please, don't..." but he does it anyway.

"Joe!"

(it should be a crime to be that dumb and on t.v....he's right about that maybe...)
How in the hell do these people get jobs?

I couldn't watch more than a few seconds of that blowhard. I saw a clip a while ago (Glenn Greenwald probably linked to it) of him saying that "rational fear" justified torture...he was an idiot then, he's looking like an even bigger idiot now, and I'm frankly surprised the MSNBC studio has enough room for his bloated ego.
When i'm really morning-bored, i turn on this show. I think mika's dad called it well when he decried joe's sub-inteeligence on matters of substance. --rated--
I know I shouldn't be surprised, but Scarborough is an attorney and here he is advocating illegal acts.

What an upside down world we live in. Another thing bothering me about this guy is despite everybody knowing the CIA lies out of its metaphorical ass, he is busy spreading the meme that acknowledging this is unpatriotic and treasonous. Just like speaking against the Iraq war was unpatriotic and treasonous.
I have a soft spot for Scarborough and his show, and I must have been compartmentalizing (so much so that I put off watching this video clip), which is my excuse for overlooking this sort of outrage. Or maybe this is why I stopped drinking the Morning Joe awhile back.
I listen to this every morning while on the computer and somehow missed this. Never thought so much of Scarborough before, but after this I think he is complete and utter bullshit. Time to move this asshole over to Fox News where he belongs and have him take Guliani with him.
How the hell can he claim he knows that waterboarding is effective when all the experts say that it's not? I'll have to pay close attention tomorrow to see what kind of flack he gets from this one.
I cannot bear to watch Joe or that sloped mouthed sleazy woman! This man was in Congress? We must make sure that he's never back in there.

And what is it with MSNBC in the wee hours? Do they HAVE to have a racist or a facist on at that time?
It's his job. the Scarborough's and O'Riley's of the world are nothing more than mouthpieces for the war criminals who ordered and encouraged torture. Nothing more I can say so instead I'll just roll my eyes and shake my fist harder.
We only waterboarded people who planned the 9/11 attacks? What a fucking moron.

These are the same people that like to argue slippery slopes when it comes to gay marriage but they can't grasp that argument in relation to torture? Puh-lease!
asshat. not only is he an idiot, but his voice is so freaking whiny. I love the clip in the beginning with Ventura nailing little Elizabeth on the View. Rudy has always been a half pint short.
Thank God I don't have TV. Sounds like cruel and unusual punishment.

If you want the views of a good lawyer, if that is not an oxymoron, read Gareth Peirce in the current issue of London Review of Books.

It's also on Digg.
I read that article that you shouted me and dugg it as well. Digg is proving a place to find interesting sources.
Total Douchebag.... and a fucking coward, like Cheney, Gingrich, Rumsfeld, all of 'em. These dickheads are as un-American as one can get (whatever the hell that means).
Rated, of course.
Ugh! He needs to volunteer to have waterboarding done to him, then we can all watch as he admits to orchestrating the Holocaust. That will show him how useful it is.
I think Rudy and Joe should get married and move to Dubai with the CEO of Halliburton. And can they take Cheney and Elizabeth Hasselbeck with them? Please!!
Continuing with the bicycle theme, now updated with the promised Gratuitous Nudity.
Just wish I could say to Joe the asshole:

In THIS country (the United States of America) people are supposed to be INNOCENT until PROVEN GUILTY. Torturing terror "suspects" doesn't promote that. These guys never had trials, never had juries, were never convicted of crimes of terror BEFORE they were tortured.

Sorry, asshat. YOU are the one who should not speak of things that you obviously know nothing about.

I find it ironic that the freedom of speech in this country permits assholes like Joe (and Elizabeth Hasselback) to publicly promote their skewed views on national television.

Thumbed.
I have to add, I loved his last statement regarding how he "knows that waterboarding is effective". Oh, really? I'd like to know WHO he has waterboarded, and how many times so that we can judge how truly effective it is.

Geez. Did I say he's an asshat?
Thanks BBE, but I couldn't even watch the whole clip ... I had to turn it off as soon as I heard f'ing Guilliani's voice ... ugh. I gave up Morning Joe back during election season because of Mika and her Sarah Palin fascination ... sickening. Joe Scarborough is just part of the talk machine ~ unfortunately, what Ventura says rings so true that no amount of his backstepping and criticizing and blowharding is going to make us stop thinking about it ... what a waste of oxygen ~
Fear trumps rationality every time.
Thumbed.
I saw Ventura on the Ed show last night. He made a lot of sense for a guy who was beat about the head for years. Joe S is the idiot. But then we KNEW that!
Obvously, Scarborough was never in the military have to worry about stuff like that.

But you what really is torturous, the last shot of the guy sans bush. But I understand, you are an equal-opportunity teaser. lol
Hot pokers! Rated.
If I don't show dick and hairy ass in the gratuitous nudity, I am besieged with outraged emails demanding equality. Life is too short.
“ … keep doin what you're doin, man
Don't give a damn if the squares don't understand
You let em tell you what to say and what to write
Your whole career'll be over by tomorrow night …”
From “Back on the Block” by Quincy Jones

Let the haters hate. It's called cheap therapy.
I think Lisa's onto something here. I wonder if guys like Joe Scarborough and Rush Limbaugh out there advocating torture and brutality have ever even been in a fight themselves. After you've been beaten in the head a few times (and believe me, I have) you tend to shirk away from this kind of advocacy.
